{ Poe Shrine } The Poe Shrine is an open brick shelter, constructed of materials salvaged from the Southern Literary Messenger building where Poe worked as an editor. This engaging structure, full of energy resides as part of the Poe Museum in Richmond, Virginia. I was very enamored with this shrine and its enveloping courtyard and could easily see manifestations of Poe. These frames represent thoughts and visions I wish to someday resolve in reality on site.
